A fast way to travel

Air Ambulance

With an air ambulance, patients can be transported up to intensive care level, both over short distances and intercontinentally. Road ambulances to and from the airport are included, and the patient is completely and expertly accompanied from bed to bed.

If your patient needs to travel abroad for medical treatment, an air ambulance is often the most direct and convenient way to travel. It’s also extremely fast – we can usually arrange a flight within hours of your first call, and be airborne within 24 hours.

Which type of air ambulance do I need?

When you contact EMS, we’ll help you determine which air ambulance flight type is best for your patient. This will depend on factors like their current condition, where they are now, and how far you need to travel. Medium-care transports are designed for patients who need specialist support after an illness or operation – for example, people who need a concentrated oxygen supply, or who are flying to a foreign hospital for cancer or stroke treatment, or for medical tourism. An intensive-care transport is a mobile ICU with minute-by-minute monitoring of a patient’s vitals and emergency treatment if it’s needed – for example, patients who are unconscious, or who have suffered a serious accident or life-threatening illness.

What is an Air Ambulance?

An Air Ambulance is a private jet that has been specially adapted to enable medical support for patients while in transit. A highly-qualified doctor, paramedic or a team of medics travels with your patient to care for them until they reach the destination airport and are transferred safely to your home or local hospital. We take all necessary equipment and medicines with us on the flight.

Quick and secure

From anywhere, to anywhere

EMS uses one of the most advanced networks of private jets in the world for medical transports and repatriations. With hundreds of aeroplanes stationed in over 5,000 international airports, we can get you quickly and securely to almost any destination.

5-star service

Advanced patient care

These high-care transports are carried out on air ambulance jets that have been specially modified for emergency inflight support and treatment. Essentially mobile ICUs, the aircraft come with specialist medical crew, state-of-the-art equipment, and room for an extra passenger travelling with your patient. They can also accommodate COVID-positive patients who need to travel in full isolation.
