If you’re looking into an ambulance transport for the first time – which is how most people come to the subject – the questions are endless. How much does it cost? Which type of transport should you choose? How do you know if the companies you’re finding online will do a good job?

Sometimes, frankly, the only way to answer these kinds of questions properly is to speak to someone face-to-face. That’s why we’re introducing a new video consultation service through the EMS website. We want to make it even easier for people to get in touch with a specialist, so they can get the advice they need about their repatriation. Best of all, it’s free, with no obligation to take things any further.

Speak to a human being – at a time that suits you

Click on to our website homepage and the first thing you’ll see is a new video call button.

Book a free video call

Or you can hit the Book your appointment tab on the main menu from any page within the site. Click one of those and you’ll be presented with the new 2-step booking tool for arranging a video call:

Just select a day that suits you best from the calendar… and then your preferred time. If you want to speak to us quickly (many people do!), choose today’s date. Our repatriation teams are available 24/7, so you can arrange a video call-back with as little as 4 hours’ notice. Hit Confirm and you’ll be taken to the second step. Now input your name and preferred email address. Would you like other friends or family members to be in on the call? Just click the Add Guests button and enter them in the box that pops up below your email. You can add up to 10 additional people to the video call.

If you’d like to tell us more about your patient’s situation or the questions you have, you can enter them in the penultimate box. You don’t have to write anything here, but any extra details you add will be helpful for our specialists as they prepare for your meeting.

Lastly, add your mobile number if you’d like text updates to your phone. Just click the flag icon to reveal the international dialling code options. And that’s it. Now just wait for us to send you a confirmation email. It will contain a link for your scheduled video call (we usually do this using Microsoft Teams).

Ask us anything!

Use your video call to ask us anything you like about the repatriation process. The specialist is there for you and your family members – to explain how everything works and to offer reassurance about the transport process. Every EMS transport aims to take care of all the details from bed-to-bed – tickets, connections, documents, permissions, hospital liaisons, and so on – so there’s almost nothing we can’t help you with, or get an answer to, if you need us to.

Just want a price estimate? Try the 3-step Cost Calculator
