Introducing Dr. A. Yassiri and Mr. Ghulam Karimi
Today we are proud to announce the addition of Dr. Aziz Yassiri and Ghulam Karimi to EMS Ambulance. This addition will initially mean two things.
At EMS Ambulance its all about the patient
First of all, because the patient is our highest priority, Dr. Yassiri will focus his immediate attention on repatriation missions originating from the Gulf Region between Gulf Countries to Europe or anywhere in the world. He will be available for medical consultations, will be deployed for Medical Escort missions and will accompany patients on our Air Ambulances or Road Ambulances. Dr Yassiri can reach almost any location in the region on a 24-hour notice, speaks fluent Arabic and English, has more than 20 years of experience in critical care and can travel everywhere without needing to apply for a visa.
New EMS Ambulance Office in Dubai
The second order of business will be for Dr. Yassiri and Mr. Karimi to set up a new EMS Ambulance office of operations in Dubai. This new office, when set up, will serve the Gulf Regions, including Dubai, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar and Bahrain. The new office will enable EMS Ambulance to support a team on the ground who is intimately acquainted with the region, will know the different languages, varying customs, laws, and traditions. In this way, the team will be able to garner the trust of the local population, and will then be able to effortlessly communicate with our head office in the Netherlands. Perhaps most importantly of all, they will understand the enormous diversity of people living in the region and will be able to anticipate their needs before any other player in the business.
Medical Accreditations and experience of Dr. Yassiri
There are many reasons why EMS ambulance has judged Dr. Yassiri to be a perfect addition to the team. First and foremost, his extensive education. Dr. Aziz Yassiri completed his Bachelor of Medicine at the University of Melbourne in Australia, whereafter he obtained dual fellowships in Intensive Care and Internal Medicine from respectively the College of Intensive Care Medicine of Australia and the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. In his private life, Aziz is a family man. This is also his biggest motivation to do the work that he does. He emphasizes greatly with families in distress and understands their need for clarity in communication, decisive action, and professionalism.
The new head of Operations: Mr. Karimi
It is with great pride that we introduce Mr. Karimi as our new Operations Manager for the EMS Ambulance Dubai branch. Ghulam Karimi speaks a multitude of languages including Farsi, Urdu, Pashto, and English.
Harnessing at least 14 years of experience in the field of international flight logistics. He served for Kam Airline in both Dubai and Afghanistan since 2006, has a CPL (commercial pilot licence), started a flight school in the Philippines in 2008 and later worked for a travel agency in Dubai from 2009 and started his own travel agency in 2016. Experience in the travel industry, where you learn all about international visa requirements, aircraft, and dealing with various governmental institutions from all around the world counts as vital experience in the world of medical repatriation.
Other than that, the most important asset to Karimi’s disposal is his deep connection with the great people of Dubai who come from all walks of life. This will enable him to understand the different requests we receive each day, and to understand the people behind the missions.
Why the Gulf Region?
The Gulf Region is home to nearly 66 million people, with almost over 9 million living in the UAE alone. Of those 10 million about 85% are expatriates from all over the world. Because of the extraordinary number of people living abroad in the Gulf Region, EMS Ambulance sees a clear need for a reliable, experienced, flexible and above all personal repatriation service. A service you, either as an individual or an employer, can rely on to safely transfer friends, family or employees with a medical condition from one country to the next. We repatriate patients between Golf states, from the Gulf Region to the rest of the world or from the rest of the world to the Gulf region.
We will leave you with a quote from Dr Yassiri
"It brings me great joy to become part of the EMS ambulance team and to lead a group of professionals dedicated to serving the Gulf Region. It is a great honour to be trusted with the care of patients in Dubai & the Gulf region and I will not take it lightly.”
And a quote from Mr. Karimi
“Moving people from one area to the next is in my family’s DNA. My father started in the travel industry and I soon followed. When given the chance to continue my work in Dubai I immediately took it. Dubai is a city where so many different kinds of people arrive and depart every single day. I look forward to helping those most in need of air transport, patients with a medical emergency, travel as safely and quickly as possible”
